Fire Evacuation Drill 2026

The semester has been progressing smoothly since the start of the 2026 school year nearly two months ago. Today, we conducted a joint fire evacuation drill with Ashiya International Secondary School. To ensure we can evacuate safely and quickly in the outbreak of a fire, we reviewed evacuation routes and learned the proper procedures to follow during an evacuation.

During the drill, we stressed the importance of remaining calm and moving swiftly to a designated assembly area. In addition, Principal Ishitani of our school gave a speech, highlighting the need for this training, in which she said, “To prepare for disasters, let’s make sure to remember the evacuation routes we used today.” Afterward, firefighters from the local fire department explained how to use fire extinguishers and how to tackle a fire when it first starts, and students had the opportunity to practice using fire extinguishers themselves.

We will continue to raise awareness of disaster prevention and strive to ensure we can take appropriate action in emergencies.
